Portland, MAINE has had two Sheratons over the years and now both are gone. We had a Westin planned for the old port downtown area, but when the economy tanked, so did that entire development project. Marriott's buildling left and right here, but no Starwood presence.

And, while I'm at it, I've been waiting a VERY long time for the Westin project in Guadalajara, MX to get off the ground. Can't happen fast enough for me.
