Well, after reading the above posts and doing a little research on the internet between traveling to Hua Hin and the beach scene, the wife and I opted for Phuket instead of Hua Hin. Flights are frequent between BKK and HKT (Phuket) so there is less hassle with that. Plus, there are several flights a day from HKT to SIN, so we are all set, booked our intra asia airfare with AirAsia. thanks again for all the great replies. ^
