Perhaps, but that's a long walk (e.g. similar to People's Square xfer). What's more, I remain convinced that the #2 bus is still faster than subway/Maglev from Jing'an park. What I like about line 7 is that it's almost always possible to get a seat.
I'd definitely agree with you on the bus being faster, except of course when there is a traffic-jam which seems to be the rule rather than the exception
