Ah I missed the fact that he was starting from Changping Rd. That's 13 stops away from Longyang Rd. The timetable says it takes 34 minutes.

So I'd be very surprised if you can make the whole trip in under an hour as the Maglev is going to set you back by 17~25 minutes (average to worst). And then you have to add the time on foot.

I'd suggest switching to line 2 at Jingansi, that'll shave off about 10 minutes.
