To all those who doubt that the airlines need to ban wireless mice (and/or other devices), please elaborate with:
  1. Details of your technical knowledge of airplane electronics (experience, professional designations, etc) so we all can be sure you know what you are talking about.
  2. Details of what devices you would allow that may not currently be allowed, why, and how you would police it on an airplane in a practical way (eg if you would allow bluetooth mice but not RF mice)
  3. Why you think the airlines would disallow devices if they rally don't cause any problems.

Personally I don't know anything about airplane electronics, but I am comfortable that the airlines aren't banning use of devices just for fun or to cause unnecessary grief to their customers, and that they probably have to cast a wide net of what is banned because it isn't practical to police them on a device/model by device/model basis.
