While I regret I am unable to contribute in a more timely way to the threads I start here, I think most of the main issues have been canvassed. Bruce, welcome to Flyertalk and thank you for spending your Saturday on here (I guess it beats painting walls...). I have some questions which I think would clarify things for everyone here (otherwise I would have just emailed them to you). No rush on answers.

1. You refer to an announcement earlier this week confirming space plus and koru hour being retained for Domestic services. Can you provide more details (such as the date of this announcement)? I have not seen this announcement and by the sounds of things no-one else has either.

2. Can you clarify what is planned for seat pitch? Based on the stuff I posted at the start of the thread, it appeared that space plus was going from the 320 aircraft. This latest information from you is encouraging:

Current Space plus is between 32-34 inches

Forward of the wing the legroom is 33 inch in emergency exit then 30-32 inch
The front row is about 5 inches less than the old business class product

Is this to say that there will be just one row of 37" pitch seats (the bulkhead - with or without a cutout?), with another 10 rows or so at 33" pitch?

A related question would be how allocations would work: Is a Works Deluxe passenger going to get these seats ahead of an elite Airpoints member traveling on just a seat fare, or will it depend who books first? Sitting at the front of the main cabin is generally a cherished elite benefit.

3. We get the following: All quotes sourced from Air NZ Focus Groups conducted with Tasman travellers in November 2009.

Is this truly an actual quote from a focus group participant?

4. Just putting this question again:

Thanks - and thanks also for joining FT and responding to our queries!
Thanks again.

I cant find anything about it in today's paper. While not surprising, its pretty poor when you consider a lot of its readers will be affected by this with Christchurch being the first place to implement.
One should not be surprised, considering it was dumped on the media at 4:30pm...

I disagree entirely. NZ put out the change in flight numbers 10 days ago stating that "due to operational requirements all A320 services will be re-numbered" for flights from 31 October.
