1. This one is going to show my age! I sat next to David Lange on an AKL/WGN flight many, many moons ago. He was friendly, interesting, interested and utterly without pretension.

2. Last year BNE/AKL I travelled with the whole Stevie Wonder entourage, without Stevie Wonder. A very large number of them just about took over the Koru lounge in Brisbane. Luckily I'd booked business class as I wouldn't have got an upgrade on that flight. Attendants did a lot of fawning like in the NZ All Black ad. I was a little underwhelmed by the experience.
