It's quite aggravating that the carrier makes no allowance for fare class paid; I have a huge problem paying $6 for a cheeseburger when I paid $1200 for the ticket, especially since the bozo next to me who paid $189 for the flight pays the same $6.
That's an example of poor customer service, and I generally don't tolerate it.
The fare you pay has almost nothing to do with the service you receive on board, insofar as the basic services go. You paid $1200 for the flexibility and/or routing rules of your fare. You did not pay more for the service on board the aircraft. The other guy that pays the $189 fare bought it under different circumstances.
On board service is/should be determined by fare class, not cost. Just because you paid a lot more than someone else does not make you special. :-:
