My friends who are loyal UA employees tell me that often they can fly in first internationally for leisure-- but space available can make it difficult sometimes to get ANY seat from places like LAS (maybe now with tourism in the tank they can get it)== so they buy flights when they really HAVE to get there on a certain time and date.
