Why is Monte Carlo such a bad property?
While the property is well located the building is plain ugly and the rooms are dated and tired. The exception is the open air restaurant on the roof overlooking the Med. That was great.
My expectation for Fairmonts are that the buildings should be either be well maintained historical properties, (Plaza, old CP Hotels etc) or modern wonders of architecture (Dubai, Beijing etc). The Fairmont Monte Carlo fits neither.
