You might be prophetic.

If i understand the rules correctly (somebody please tell me if this is wrong), if union membership falls below 50 percent of a defined group to be represented, then the Union can be barred from negotiating for a group and the company does not have to officially recognize it.

That could be a consequence of the strike, if enough cabin crew find another union to help them and join up.

I read this on some official document but can't recall where.
