I am bringing my niece out to Calif to visit and I have booked her on US CLT-PHX-SMF and return. I have never flown that route.

I'm guessing it's way too far south for her to see the Grand Canyon on the CLT-PHX-CLT route. Is there anything else worth seeing?

What about PHX-SMF-PHX? Any chance of seeing the Grand Canyon?

She already is exciting about seeing the world from 35,000 ..... but as much as I fly, I know nothing about that route.
