This link tells part of the story. There was an audit of GBH, so it was said, that revealed 'serious deficiencies' so Eagle stopped flights until the situation is rectified. No indication of what the issues are, but the Bahamas will be anxious to fix it soon. They depend on Eagle for much of the air service in the country. Anyway, the trip takes an hour or less under most conditions. They're probably allowing for bus problems.
