He did not take breakfast and slept through the entire flight. I agree, that if the seat can be fully reclined, he can make use of that feature, but if I need to drink water (at regular intervals), he would have to live with his seat being "bumped" every now and then.
[Normally, I prop the ent. system in the seat pocket (of a non-reclined) seat to make viewing easier--this time I had to use the arm rest of the seat to my left (that pax slept and didn't use it)--how would two adjacent pax use the arm rest for an ent. system?]
I believe we are all paying the price of a lack of proper standardization in aircraft seating ergonomics. I would like to see a global standard on seat spacing just as there are safety regulations for aircraft construction, there ought to be standards for seat size and spacing. I would set the bar at 35" which would eliminate all of this nonsense related to the very limited recline that a/c seats in coach have anyways.
