I had bought tickets to GHB before the cancellation, and AA is rerouting me through ELH, with a bus ride to GHB. They were extremely inflexible on this. I gave several agents options on CO to GHB, and was flat-out refused.

If you can buy tickets on AA, either to GHB or ELH, you'll fly to the airport of their choosing. The only caveat is that if they switch airports, you should be given a chance for a refund (but no refund of any prepaid hotels, etc...). And the pleasure of spending half an hour on old with an AAgent while they process your ticket.

I'm having a bad year with AA...a little flexibility here would have gone a long way
