I have a 6+ hour transit transit through AMS this Sunday, arriving at 6:15 a.m. on the UA flight (in C) from IAD and leaving at 12:35 p.m. on the TAP flight (in Y, and on a different ticket) to LIS. I believe the UA flight arrives in Terminal 3 (though the 1K CSR wasn't sure about this) and know that the TAP flight departs from Terminal 1. While I expect to have done OLCI for the TAP flight before leaving SFO, I still might want to get to the TAP check-in or gate early to try to score an exit row seat. My questions:

1. Any advice on the best, if any, *A lounge to use?
2. I might want to stay for a few hours in an airport hotel to catch some sleep. The Yotel site indicates that its AMS hotel is airside in Terminal 2. I believe the airport Sheraton is landside. I assume that the Yotel is better since it's airside, but would welcome any thoughts on these two or other options.
3. If I do stay at the Yotel, any problems with going from Terminal 3 (UA arrival) to Terminal 2 (Yotel) to Terminal 1 (TAP departure)?
