HI, this is likely me not having the seasoned grasp on such things most others do so I hope you will indulge me in a question.

I was looking in both the ANA sight and on Expert Flyer for awards for specific flights.

I looked at a UA flight from JFK to Tokyo next January and a return flight 3 weeks later.

ANA told me there were no first or business class awards seats left for *A.

Expert Flyer for the same flight told me there were 9 F Class or First Class Standard award seats on both outgoing and return.

Are these only available for UA points members? And not for other *A members?

Trying to figure out how to compare the 2.

Am planning on calling AP to book something but would like to do as much research beforehand and map out my itinerary before calling. Am also looking at flying out of YYZ but there is a lot more to the itinerary than just the Tokyo segment so JFK is an option I am looking at (in case anyone wondered)

Any input on which tool (Expert Flyer vs. ANA) is more correct would be helpful, as well as any info that tells me they are both right and I jsut do not understand it would be good as well.
