I don't think so, I'm based in Spain.

Since I joined around April 2009, I've always booked online including my card number, and I've had stays in Morocco (twice), Australia and Algeria. Never ever have the points posted automatically. However, they always did after claiming them enclosing the folio, before 24 hours.
