Nice links: I enjoyed reading both. Given the pattern in Ancient Rome of assasinations in the street, I also doubt that Ceasar was seated in the Senate
taking petitions when hit. The Senate was quite sacred inside.

If you haven't already try the newly-opened Domus Aurea ( Nero's Golden temple found underground ). Not so Golden, but worth the fee.
The Domus Aurea re-opened? When did you see it? I visited it (in '03 I think) and it was AWESOME. But I thought it was closed again - thanks for the heads-up! Do you have links?
