Originial Routing Credit to bmi on US Airways metal?

I would take a trip on US Airways which would credit to bmi. The itinerary have tight connections and US is notorious for delay. Also, the load looks pretty high and I may have some bumping opportunities.

1. If I miss a connection and have to lose miles due to rerouting, may I ask for original routing credit? Who should I ask, US or BD?

2. If I volunteer to take a later flight and lose miles due to rerouting, may I ask for original routing credit? Who should I ask, US or BD?
