Don't overpack. After making dozens of trips to HI over the years, I am now able to take a carry-on for a week. Shorts, t-shirts, swimwear, and sandals will serve you well for almost anything you want to do. Since you'll be in Waikiki, there are an abundance of places to get clothes if you think you're going to run short. Have fun!
