Amazing! She sat in her jumpseat eating fruit loops and playing with her cell phone while pax audibly complained about her laziness. She was gate-checking bags and forcing row 1 pax to go several rows back for their carryons while her's was in the row 1/2 bins. This is the kind of thing Republic management needs to know about, and US needs to know too because she was hired to represent the US brand. Laziness in any job should not be tolerated.
Per company policy the spread for the crew bags on Republic flights are 1 set of bags in section a 2 sets in B and one set in C. The company mandates that the F/A's manual bag will be in the first overhead bin aircraft right. It also says that the other bags should be close to the foward. She probably had to check the bags because on an e170 only 28 roll aboard will fit and on an e175 32 will fit. Even on a half full flight zone 4 or late boarders may have to check luggage. It all depends on how many self centered passengers decide to put all their stuff in the bin. As for why she didn't do a service I don't know but PHL has been messing up our catering. It may be there wasn't any or the captain said their may be turbulence. Im not defending her decision but I can think of a many reasons not to do a service. The other things im not going to even comment about. If you can let me know what day and flight I will atleast let our union know so they can remind her to get back on her game.
