You could have one in your pocket and "forget" to remove it. On second thought, you probably would have to figure out a way to place it on the outside of your clothing, because I'm sure clothing would attenuate the radiation and the dosimeter would give you an innaccurate reading.

I'm not a nuclear physicist, so I don't know for sure; however, I'm not sure a standard dosimeter will detect the type of radiation which the strip search machine generates.
