Because G promotion requires prepaid payment, and I was already charged to my credit card before check in.
I asked front desk rep. to refund the charge, so I can pay with certificate, but they were unable to do that.
Is this true?
I would love to get 20% plus G points, If I had to choose one of them it will be G points.
Gx do not require prepayment. But there are obviously prepaid rates - properties are not required to reverse credit card charges on prepaid reservations to allow usage of these certs - although some may do that (going above and beyond).
