I spent a week in Cairns/Port Douglas and it was amazing. I highly recommend this area for its natural wonders. If you enjoy big city vacations, then this is definitely not for you, but if you enjoy getting out into nature while still having some enjoyable accommodations - this place is for the adventurers at heart.
