Is the only problem the .5 Hertz credit? Could you change your Hertz reward to a different award program (if you participate in any others) -- ex instead of Rapid Reward, change it to mileage plus for this one rental?
That's what I was thinking. Don't use the .5 from Hertz. but my plans have changed again so I'll call them out in a new posting.
