Actually, Seattle is one place that some research can result in a really great deal. The 4* Downtown Pike zone includes only very good major chain hotels like the Westin, Hyatt, and several well regarded boutique places like the Monaco and the Alexis. And since only a couple of zones have 4* places, you can get 10 free rebids a day shooting for a 4*. And nowadays, winning bids for these quite good 4* places are going for prices in the $60s through the $80s max depending on the dates. OTOH, drop to a lower star rating and you are asking for trouble in Seattle.
