I concur with this description. I'm puzzled at the lack of elevator access to the club lounge because there are certainly people for whom this would be a problem. And for all my stays, there is no one who knows who I am. I'm reasonably good at making connections, and that just doesn't happen here. Still, I'm very happy here because the location is solid, the property is comfortable, the lounge offerings are good (endless sushi, anyone?) and I like the suite I am routinely given.
It's not just the RC that requires handling those stairs, there's a whole floor of rooms up there! Weird.
But there are a few unobvious plusses about the RC lounge:
(1) If you want some food for later, you can request one or two little plastic containers for takeout. This is uncommon, maybe even nonexistent, elsewhere.
(2) If you want to check email, they have at least one laptop with wifi access that they will loan you for use while in the club.
