I ran into a similar situation. SE (100% bonus miles) to E (50% bonus miles)

The key is the benefit year vs the earning year.

I received SE bennies through to Feb 28th, but receive E bennies as far as mile earning go in the earning year. As of Jan 01 by bonus miles were coming through at 50%. I called the SE line to verify.
