Kuwait airways Oasis Club...disappointing
Hi there. Well, this is my first post here and I joined in, because since May 2008 I've started to become more of a frequent traveler due to business opportunities. Since I work for a government-based utility authority, I get all of my tickets on Kuwait Airways, the major airlines here in Kuwait. I've joined in their Oasis Club frequent flyer after I've done a trip or two. I've always presented my frequent flyer number to them on every ticket issuing and at the airport when receiving the boarding pass.
Imagine, for almost a year I've been doing so, only to find out that they didn't count in around 6-8 flights and thousands of miles gone to waste because I didn't check after them to make sure that they were doing their job right!
So, early this January I head out to their main office and have a little talk with them. At first, they mention that to sit down to talk first I gotta agree that whatever went beyond 6 months duration would never be accounted for, even I'm right! That was so absurd. So, most of my ticket stubs just were that case and they didn't offer the slightest reason of why my tickets were never registered in their system. They reason that sometimes, the terminal at the airport has a different system so it doesn't work smoothly with theirs at the main office which was the stupidest piece of lie I've ever heard! I mentioned to them that I presented my number twice: when issuing the ticket and issuing the boarding pass each time I traveled. So, I asked to file a complaint and they say that they don't even have a form for complaint. They just handed in a plain A4 where I scrambled all my anger in it.
Here, I'm thinking of everyone who's reading this. Can this be actually true? can anyone has such genuine ignorance of customer patronage? I mean, they just said to me ''Why didn't you follow up on your account and provide us with claims every time you traveled?" and I was like "You want me to stop by here each month or a couple of weeks just to tell you to make sure that you do you job and count in my miles?''
Anyone went through something worse than this?.....is it worth suing these guys?
