Ever since I received a pillow in a plastic wrap on an AA JFK-LHR flight (in economy) that had a large chunk of some dried debris on it that was yellow - I stay far, far, far away from the pillows and blankets - in any class, on any airline. When I joked to the FA that they must have skipped cleaning and just put it straight into the bag, she told me, with a straight face, that they did not clean any of the blankets regularly, they were all just put directly into bags from the past flight. I hope she was actually joking, but it still gives me heebie jeebies.

I am also one of those people that travel with clorax wipes and I wiped down the headrest, seat pocket, and arm rests.
