Just ploughed through the whole thread in one go-Phew

What struck me from the original post is that the celebrity angle may have been what set the FA off -that she recognised her.....and didn't like her character/on screen persona. There is a certain breed of FA who appears to resent women solo travellers in general and it sounds to me that the possibility that this FA may be one of those -add in the "I'll show her she's no-one special" attitude and in a weird warped way the FA's actions seem less incomprehensible.

I recall the purser bringing an FA to me to apologize on an American carrier (not US)
after a similar attitude was given out to me (and reported to him by another FA which prompted him to come to talk to me)

No I don't think it's a publicity stunt-but yes the appearing currently on mainstream TV *does* have relevence.
