Clarification, beer drinkers in the Netherlands avoid Heineken when they can. It's a product we would rather export than drink ourselves, and somehow, it has become a marketing success (just like some silly fools in the Netherlands have been convince to order US Budweiser in bars ... go figure).

It’s true that in NL I have no problem avoiding Heineken and getting some decent beer. (But often it is from *my* country of origin, south of the border.
