Can you kindly clarify two points:
1- do you only release one seat for non-peak flights? , can you give more details on how this capacity control works, how do you decide which flight you decrese or increase # of seats provided, I personally assume that you will obviously release more seats on flights and periods you usually get less paying customres on.. but personally I am not sure if this is the case.
2- does it work in a way that once the departure date gets closer, more seats will be "released" ?
Demand for J cabin is based on historical data as well as forecast data. The flights are actually reviewed on a regular basis, not just close to departure date; if we can release more seats, we will.
One thing that has to be kept in mind, just because you are not seeing seats available on certain flights, it doesn't mean we closed that flight for IKK. It could simply be that someone else has already redeemed the allocated seats keeping in mind that the # of eligible customers that can use IKK this year have gone up dramatically.
The allocation of seats for IKK is completely independent of I class despite the numerous posts in this thread suggesting otherwise.
