The painter of my house has 14 kids. Once, I ran into him and his family on a BA flight to LHR. Yes, they took up half the back cabin (exaggerated but you get my point) And why can't AP impose no limit of children?
And why are parents not a part of my family? I have no kids but I have parents. Why can't I IKK for my dear parents?
This rule of IKKing immediate family is faulted. It's open to abuse!! As an SE, I could SELL IKK'd J tickets to strangers. I just have to say they're my half-brother, step-brother, commonlaw girlfriend, commonlaw inlaw etc.
I think if the old rule was 30% surcharge for IKK with no capacity control and no limitation of who could get it as long as the partner is flying with the SE, AC can do better if they want to please everybody.
Maybe:
1. SE traveling: No surcharge, no capacity control.
2. Anyone traveling with SE: 30% surcharge, with or without capacity control
3. Anyone not traveling with SE: 30% or bigger surcharge, capacity control
Then there is no stupid rule about who are the "immediate" family members. No worry about abuse. The SEs should be happy.
AC should please the SEs. AC should not please the SEs' families and piss off the SEs, which is what they are doing now.
