Two of the best steakhouses
If you're in Portland, Oregon, (and hey, who wouldn't love to be?) and want a truly classic and classy experience then you must go to The Ringside on West Burside. Dark 1940's ambience, white linen, waiters in tuxes who know what service is about, and amazing steak. The onion rings are a must.
Another great place is in Williams, Arizona, west of Flagstaff on I-40. Pull off on old Route 66 and find Rod's Steakhouse. The most excellent prime rib dinner I've ever had at 3:30 in the afternoon. Crisp, cold salad. Fresh from the oven rolls (from scratch), and perfect prime rib, also with excellent onion rings. Old place. Has been there since the early or mid- 40's, I believe, with only 3 owners in that time. My grandfather used to go in there when he worked in that part of the country in the '40's. My Dad also has been a few times. I've been once and can't wait to go through there again.
