It must take all of 30 seconds to load up their PNR and add the number.
The easiest way to enter your FF number is at the auto kiosks in T1 when you check in. There is an option to add/change your FF #. I've seen people use the kiosks as early as 3 a.m., but the limiting factor will be that US I.C.E. opens at about 4:30.
