Word has been that nowadays only SEs get meal priority.

As to ML*1, yes, any gate upgrade, including cert upgrade, gets it, SEs too. Not sure what it does to selection priority assuming they got enough meals.

(On ML*1, I know because not long ago I stood by for an earlier flight and I got the mention on my BP. Ended up getting my meal though.)
