Well if Amsterdam stays on your list you can in fact get a nice 4 star hotel double room normally under $100 USD (not euros or pounds) inc tax and fee. Maybe the Movenpick. Maybe the NH Amsterdam Centre. Maybe the NH Carnasa.

Priceline NYOP bidding. Four star hotels double rooms for the price of a 1 star double room.
