If you call and make two simultaneous bookings and try to use upgrade certificates for both, you will be told that the upgrades can be applied only to one room (the room of the member with status, and yes, it's assumed that a person stays in only one room, even if they book multiple rooms).

Calling and making two separate bookings, if detected, I suspect would not be met favorably.
