I was hoping that you guys might be able to give some advice on a predicament that I am in. I will be doing a train trip of Europe where I will be staying approximately 10 days in Madrid, Barcelona, Venice, Rome, Paris, and possibly Amsterdam. I am trying to figure out what some good hotels would be at reasonable price as in hopefully less than $200/night, would actually prefer to spend closer to $100, but do not want to sacrifice quality to do that. I currently do not have any status with any hotel besides Hyatt plat, which is basically worthless for the cities I will be staying in, but have also considered paying for the ICC ambassador membership for the upgrades and free night stay. Would appreciate any help or advice that you could offer, this is also going to be hopefully a life-changing trip, since there is a planned proposal, and the girlfriend has only been to Germany and Paris for a day. Had enough miles to do a First class ticket on Lufthansa for the the ride over for the GF and then we will both be traveling back together.
