We just got booked on a Dubai-LAX EK 215 flight on Emirates, after arriving from Capetown South Africa. Anyone figure out what route this flight takes. Across the Pacific, the Atlantic, the North Pole?
The say it takes 16:35 hours. Anyone with experience being in economy class on EK for this long. We were able to book the two seat section in the back on both our flights from Capetown and then from Dubai. Hope this helps keep it more comfortable. Thanks for any tips about flying EK.
I'm curious too. My friend is taking the flight LAX-DXB tomorrow and we were having a debate about the routing... He seems to think it is Trans Pac over Japan but that would imply a flight time of over 18 hours. I think given the duration of the flight, it must be a "semi-polar" route going over Canada/Alaska and Russia. I know someone must have taken this flight that can shed some light on the actual routing...
