Very cool trip report. I'll have to add it to my list of experiences to try. Seems much nicer than the sleepers I have been on in the past...

I've done the sleepers down to Nice, it was okay but this was 25 years ago so I hope they have updated it a but since then. Beds were very high up and if you wanted to look out of the window you had to climb down to a seat. Memory not so great about those trains though.
I went last year Paris -> Nice. I wrote up a
trip report, but would hazard a guess that the trains haven't been updated in 25 years.
