I will be flying LHR-ICN-TPE, arriving into ICN at 15:50 and departing for TPE the next day at 12:05. I will be flying in C on an award ticket.

Originally, I was planning on staying overnight in the city, but it seems to take up to 90 minutes travel in each direction, and considering the timing of my arrival and departure, I'm wondering if its worth it. After all, I estimate I wouldn't be able to make it into downtown until 17:45 or so, and then would just have to leave the next morning by 08:30.

I have not been to Seoul since 1991 so I have no knowledge of whether it makes any sense to trek into town or just to stay at an Airport hotel. If I am to stay at an airport hotel, does anyone have any recommendations for where to find a good deal for a 3-4 star? I've noted earlier that OZ does not provide a free hotel for award ticket holders (I booked mine through Air Canada's Aeroplan).
