In Lorenzo's defense, I believe he was referring to the collective amount of unpaid on-duty time (boarding, deplaning, sit time, etc) that the entire FA workforce puts in.
I personally would not stand for working half (or more) of the hours in a year with half of that being unpaid if working for someone else. I would rethink that line of work.
