I'm considering using American Airline vacations for an upcoming trip to Europe. It seems to be a great deal in that I only have to book 2 nights hotel with them and receive a reduced airfare and reduced hotel. Also, for $58.00 per person I can buy a policy that will allow me to cancel up to 1 hour before departure. Almost seems to good to be true - is it?
Also, are there any current promotions with AA that I should be aware of for bonus mileage. I'm used to Delta and they currently have many promotions going but I need to use American so I can join my daughter on a return flight to the US. Thanks for any help!
I've done it a couple of times and was very happy since I was booking condos and got two very nice places. On one trip my son had a severe ear infection the day before and it almost came to the last minute where two of us couldn't go and having that really last minute back-out policy was a big plus! It was a trip to Maui so major $'s could have been lost.
Also I should add it was Easter and I booked late so the pkg brought the air way down.
