Consider the Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG) AMEX. 1 SPG point for $1 spent. Transfer 20,000 points to DL (as well as many other reward programs) and you will get 5,000 extra miles (total of 25K miles, making it practically 1.25 miles/$ spent). Annual fee is $45. Many here use it and will love to refer you as a new card member for the additional 5,000 bonus points.
