Unfortunately a lot of the cheap economy fares between NZ & Europe earn no miles on many programs.

For example the cheapest fares on Air NZ credit only to NZ Airpoints, the cheapest fares on SQ (Singapore Airlines) credit to no program at all. Cheapest fares on TG (Thai) also non-earning.

The cheapest fares on United do earn miles, but have the disadvantages of flying United, US transit hassles, and generally not the cheapest way to Europe from NZ.
