Have I missed something?

I just saw that FB Gold members no longer can bring guests to the lounge unless they fork out €35 or 5,000 miles... Is this correct?

The reason I never paid any attention to it earlier was that I haven't needed to bring any guests but this is changing later this year (well depending on the "new" rules). I knew Silver members could pay to get into the lounge and bring up to 5 guests at the price mentioned above.

So, could I for instance send in my elderly parents to the lounge on my spouse and mine BP (we're both Gold) and we would then not use the lounge at all? I could either tell the lounge dragons OR I could just swap BP's with my parents...
