Have you tried BKK-SIN-NRT-SFO, with BKK-SIN on either SQ or TG, or BKK-NRT-SFO, with BKK-NRT on TG or NH, or BKK-ICN-NRT-SFO, with BKK-ICN on OZ or TG?

If I were you I would avoid transferring in China at all cost.
